Barbados Tourism Statistic Reference Guide (updated up to July 2024)

Arrival data for stay-over visitors have been published for the first half of the year and although there has been some slowdown relative to how strongly we started the year arrivals are still at record levels.  Total for the first half of 2024 totaled 381,997 this is 18% up year on year and 2% up on 2019 which was the previous record.

Drilling down to a market level the UK remains our largest market with arrivals of 136,105 down slightly from last year which had a total of 136,721.  The US and Canada both showed strong growth up 38% and 19% year on year with Canada’s total of 57,550 setting a record for first half arrivals.  The return of airlift from these markets combined with the T20 world cup no doubt factoring into these numbers.
